Hundreds participate in funeral of the southern transition leaders killed by unidentified gunmen

Hundreds of residents of the al-Mahfad district of Abyan Province have laid the body of a leader of the Southern Transitional Council Ali Awad Nasser Al-Hazelah, who was killed Friday night by unidentified gunmen, a local source said on Saturday.

Al-Masdar Online reported that in the funeral procession, mourners quickly demanded the arrest of the gunmen who targeted Hazelah, who is also a prominent military leader in the pro-transitional security belt forces.

The commander of the security forces in the fourth square in Abyan province, Wadi Hamra, al-Mahfad district, was ambushed by unidentified gunmen and killed immediately.

It was not until the moment that the gunmen were identified and the belt forces did not charge any party.

This is the first time that a leader has been targeted in southern transition in the cities of the South since the series of assassinations of dozens of Aden and Abyan city symbols began.

"The martyrdom of Al-Hazelahis such a great loss to his country, the south, which was one of the symbols of his peaceful revolution and his valiant resistance," said the chairman of the Southern Transitional Council Aydaroos Al-Zabidi
