Al-Houthi campaign in Hajur continues.. Kidnapping, storming houses, looting cars

A local source in Hajur district of Hajjah Governorate (northwest) said the Houthis ' campaign was still ongoing and abducted tribal leaders and other civilians from their homes, including wounded people, and frightened children and women.

"The Houthis kidnapped the tribal leader Ali Hasan Adbaa and others, including Mohammed Hassan Mansour, Amir Ali Qasim, Ahmed Mohammad Da'km, and others," as the source told Al-Masdar online.

Two tribal leaders, Adbaa among them, agreed with Houthi leader Khalid al-Qadi Ali to hand themselves in return for the Houthis to withdraw from Bani Saeed villages, stop looting houses, kidnap innocents, and stop terrorizing women and children remaining in the homes, he said.

"After two hours of handing over the sheikh, the Houthis returned to raid the houses, searching for what they called the mercenaries of aggression, and abducting all those who found him wounded, and until the moment, the fate of more than 30 wounded is still unknown," he said.

He added that the Houthis looted all cars located in the village of Bani Saeed while destroying the frames of damaged cars.
